TOP ACCESSORIES
The part that is capable of transmitting the load from the top termination to the surface of the structure receiving support or restraint.

Load Bearing Plate
Most commonly used in situations where the angle of installation is perpendicular to the structure. It is available in galvanized steel and stainless steel in the following sizes:
  • 100mm x 100mm x 3mm thk
  • 150mm x 150mm x 5mm thk
  • 200mm x 200mm x 6mm thk
  • 350mm x 350mm x 12mm thk
Self Aligning Inverted Patress Plate

Designed with a recess and plastic cover, allowing the wedge grip and tendon to be concealed. A thrust ball placed in the recess allows the angle of installation to vary between 0° and 25°. This top accessory is used mostly for projects where the finished appearance is of aesthetic importance.

Turnbuckle
The turnbuckle is used mainly in guyed applications and is connected to the tendon using a tap eye termination or T-Loc.

Top Terminations
The part that transfer the load from the tendon to the top accessory

The Wedge Grip
The wedge grip is the most common method of top termination. Consisting of a barrel and three wedges held together with an ‘O’ ring.

Top Eye Termination
Anchor systems secured using a top eye termination can generally be associated with guyed applications. A ferrule is used to secure the wire tendon to itself, with the introduction of a thimble into the top eye on tendon sizes greater than 4mm.

Conical Wedge Grip and Bail
The conical wedge grip attaches itself to the tendon in the same way as the standard wedge grip. Consisting of a collar, bail and cartridge, it is used to create a top eye at any point along the tendon.

Drive Rods

A wide range of drive rods is available in a variety of lengths ranging from 1m to 3m and in diameters of 25mm, 32mm and 38mm diameters. These rods are available in forms suited for both manual installations and for installations employing powered equipment.

Powered Equipment

Over the last decade, we have had considerable experience in the use of hydraulic tools and can recommend the systems, in a variety of combinations that will be most appropriate to the specific needs of users. The systems recommended are lightweight, flexible, and with a degree of power that overshadows many alternative systems.

Above is pictured (from left to right) a powered stressing jack, a hydraulic power unit with hose attachments and power breaker.

Loadlocking / Stressing

An important advantage of our anchoring systems is the ease with which they can be made ready for use. Loadlocking and stressing can be undertaken with either manual or powered equipment, this equipment can include a load cell that will measure precisely the load carried by the anchor as it is stressed. We can provide a range of equipment to suit all applications in either manual or powered formats, many incorporating hydraulic power.

Tools

A complete range of tools is available to assist with anchor installation and in some cases, special equipment has been developed to speed up or simplify a particular process. However, in most cases only the basic equipment is required to install and loadlock the anchors into the working position.
