![]() Platipus Anchors have extensive, world-wide experience in the design and manufacture of earth anchoring systems for a wide range of engineering applications such as erosion control, slope/embankment stabilization, retaining walls, shoring and underpinning, to mention but a few. The latest range of Platipus earth anchoring systems is the result of years of experience and Research and Development into the behavioural characteristics of mechanical earth anchors in varying soil conditions. This has resulted in a range of products that outperforms comparable capacity conventional systems and all previous Platipus, and similar, products.
INSTALLATION FOR ENGINEERING PROJECTSThe anchor system can be installed using a variety of light, medium or heavy installation equipment. As the requirement for anchor size and placement depth increases it is essential to utilize larger installation equipment. There are three main stages of installation that are common to all types of anchor system: Stage 1 Driving The Anchor Drive the anchor into the ground to the required installation depth. Stage 2 Removing The Rods Remove the drive rod from the body of the anchor in the ground, either by hand or using rod-removing equipment. Load locking/stressing equipment is an important factor in this process. Platipus design and manufacture a range of equipment to suit all applications in either manual or powered formats.
